icon editor suggested font for LabVIEW 2011

Coming from the old world (LV711) the new icon editor and especially its text layer is a huge improvement. But the strings and the fonts are a little problematic, especially when one or the other extra letter is required. Smaller sizes make the text unrecognizeable and most of the typical fonts are rather wide and have huge spacing.

I have made some test on my local PC and have found the Niagara Solid font quite usefull and readable. with size 15 I can have the string "Abcdefghi"in one line of text. The font can be loaded here.

Hope this is helpfull!

Hello.

I am not sure that i completely understand your problem. To show all text of a element you can drag
the textbox to a bigger size. But maybe you mean something different. Could you please

describe your Problem more accurately.

Best regards.

LoCa,

no problem, but a hint to those that need to adapt a vi's or exe's icon. That's why I had the sentence 'the new icon editor' in my post.

Try to edit the icon of a newer LV version and insert some text into it. Than you'll see...

Hallo,

now i think i understand your problem. To view these Font  you need a higher resolution.
You can configure this with the Button "Insert New Icon" and select the 256x256 Typ.
Then you can view every Font - but the Icon needs more space.

Best regards

Loca
