identification usb port

Hi all :

I need help please , I want to bulid  application that if I insert A Device in USB port the application identification this device and give me in the port which was found such as ( 😧 or G: or F: , etc....)

And if this device found give me "true " , if not found give me " false"

Can I do this in labview 8.5 ..

If any one so this before I will be very thankful to know

Can you rephrase your question? Are you saying that you want to be notified by the operating system when a device is plugged in? What is your operating system?

Also, what do you mean by:

And if this device found give me "true " , if not found give me " false"

Does this mean that you're doing some sort of initial scan? Please explain in more detail what you're trying to accomplish.
