I have a while loop for PI control and I want to add up the previous N error values to get a cumulative running total (integral) of error. I can do this with shift registers if I just want a few previous values - say 1, 2, 5 etc. But what if I want 100 or 1000? clearly shift registers are impractical. Any ideas?
