invoke method

If I use the run invoke method to start a vi, do I have to use the abort method to stop the same vi? I noticed that if I stop the vi using a global or just press the stop button, the execution state property node tells me that the vi is still running. The vi does stop, but why does it think that it is still running?

No, you don't need to use the Abort method. That's actually not a recommended way unless you have no other option. The method you're using is fine.

I can't say that I've ever seen the behavior you're describing. Are you opening the reference to the VI by name or by explicit path? Can you post your code?
