is the NI PXI-2535 sold in PCI form

I'm looking at the PXI-2535 as a possible purchase and need to know if it's sold in PCI format?  I would like ot avoid using my PXI chassis if possible.

Thanks,
Cory

Hi Cory,

Our switch modules are only available in PXI or SCXI form factors.  Are you trying to avoid a PXI device in order to save slots in your PXI system for other modules?

I only have 1 chassis and I would like to avoid removing and replacing equipment for different test setups.

The "cheap" option is to buy a small PXI chassis with a MXI interface.  Here is one that has the MXI interface built in, and comes with the PCI-E card (that's the $1,139.00 version)

https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/model.pxi-1033.html

I've used these in the past when I wanted to add some more DAQ I/O and a switch matrix card that was only in PXI.  Keep in mind this chassis can't be controled using a PXI controller running real-time.  This is essentially just a PCI extension chassis.

if you need to save money, you can buy a used PXI-2535 from Artisan Technology Group

http://www.artisantg.com/TestMeasurement/78998-1/National_Instruments_PXI_2535_544_Crosspoint_FET_Ma...

then you can put your save $$ towards your pxi chassis. (they also have used chassis there)
