Hello everybody,
I've written an app in labview 2010 SP1 that sends GET to an external HTTPS web server, using SSL VI included in the Internet Toolkit that I've got with the Development Suite version.
Everything is ok if application is runned on the development PC.
Instead, 1380 error is issued by app if I build it and deploy into another PC.
In the NI site this problem is traced as a known issue of the LV20120 SP1 Internet Toolkit: issue 248965 (http://www.ni.com/white-paper/11869/en#248965_by_Category)
I'm asking you if someone has ever correctly applied the workaround suggested by NI: manually install and activate license file for Internet Toolkit. I've installed such toolkit together with the rest of toolkits contained in the Development Suite. Why is it not properly working?
Thank you for you suggestions and help!
Regards,
Giovanni R.

Hi Giovanni,
I can definitely tell you that the workaround works.
You said that you installed the toolkit but did you activate it?
In order to activate it, you need to use the NI License Manager with the serial numeber you got for the toolkit.

Hello Valerio,
yes, after the installation of the Internet Toolkit, I've activated it through the NI license manager inserting both the license serial number associated to my Developer Suite and the NI activation number received by mail.
I've tried also to uninstall only the Internet Toolkit and reinstall it again, but the result is the same: the SSL.vi works only in the development PC but not in other PCs where it is installed as application.exe (issuing out the error 1380).
Have you other suggestions?
Thank you,
Giovanni

Hello Giovanni,
Another thing you can do is:
from the control panel open "program and features" and then Software National Instruments.
From there search for the internet toolkit and try a repair it.
