It almost seems like he could not find his original thread, did a search by his name, didn't find anything and posted a new thread as generated and suggested by the failed search...

If that's the case, you need to find your old posts.

1.   At the top left of the page, click on your name / identification

2.  In the page that you get,  you will see "Recent Posts" in the middle (top) of the page.  Look a bit further below and you will see "Find all posts by this user".  Click on that link and you should see all the posts that you wrote.  Select that appropriate topic, go to the bottom of the thread and post there.
