labview 8.0 auto edit tool

Hi, how can I permanently switch the edit tool to manual? Every time I start the Dev-System, it is reset to auto-tool, although I set it to manual. Who can help?

Have you tried setting it  under tools options:

Go to the Environment section and uncheck "Lock automatic tool selection".

(Personally, I really like the automatic tool selection. It only takes very little time to get used to it and it works great once you get the hang of it. :))
