labview and firewire

I am new to labview and i am studying the possibilities to use it.
I would like to replace my acquisition board.
The numerisation of the analog signal would be done on my application board. The digital data would then be sent via firewire to the PC.
My acquisition board would then be replaced by a PCI-Firewire board which will be linked to my labview software.

My question is :

Is it possible to link labview to a standard PCI Firewire board? If yes, how have datas to be sent through Firewire in order to make it understandable by labview?

Thanks for any answer

NI has a DAQPad-6070E, which is a PCI-6070E card with a firewire front end on it. The box works very nicely (I've not tried to push the throughput rate yet) with LV 7.0 and NI-DAQ without any additional programming. However, as of NI-DAQ 7.0, you are limited to the traditional NI-DAQ driver.

Monsieur,

Vous n'avez pas de driver générique FireWire dans LabVIEW, il vous faut par conséquent utliser le driver de la carte FireWire que vous avez.

Cordialement,
