Is there a PDA version 8 out? if not how well does Labview 8 work with Labview PDA 7.1?

LabVIEW 8 for PDA should be released in the next few weeks. right now, the only "8" version products that have been released are LabVIEW and DAQmx. The rest are on the way.

The 7.1 PDA module will not work with LabVIEW 8.

Unfortuately, we have to patient and wait. I'm waiting for RT, FieldPoint and FPGA myself.

I heard from NI people "soon" on both PDA and RT\Fieldpoint. They also said that FP 5.0 should have some improvements, although I haven't heard any specifics.

One good thing about PDA 8.0 is that it seems to solve some of the annoying problems with the 7.0 and 7.1 versions, like display for arrays and clusters, the use of property nodes instead of VIs and (hopefully) less bugs. There is some material on this site about the improvements (including a 40 minute video).

Hello:

I recently signed in this part of the forum. I'd like to ask from the forum and know exactly what PDA device model or brand to buy that can work with the CF and PMCIA-E series DAQ cards (as well as LV PDA Module 8). Also,  would NI Biobench be easily ported to/by LV PDA? I'm looking at possibilities  for biomed applications of LabVIEW in medical doctor's handheld device.
