labview web server

i want to build a labview server for remote monitoring of labview vi. can any body help???? i used web publishing tool of labview it gave me a url like 
http://acer:8000/test14.html but this is not working on remote system.... ???? how can i access this adress from an other system...

Hi 182,

If you scroll down to the troubleshooting section you'll see different steps you can take to try and resolve your error.  You should try changing the URL to use your computer IP address rather than the port number.  If these steps don't work out for you, could you post more information about the error you're getting?

do i need to forward port e.g 8000 , so that remote system can get data from my system or this is not necessary ?

Yes, you need to forward the port and you also need to know the public IP address of your router.
