Did you mean:

<userlib>\Excel\excel.llb\

Can't find "<userlib>\Excel\excel.llb\excel replace cell.vi" when trying to open a team mates VI.
I can find "excel.llb" but not \Excel\excel.llb
Upgraded to Toolkit 2021.
Previously all excel vi's were in "addons".

In LabVIEW 2021 SP1 (32-bit), the "Excel" folders are under \vi.lib\Utility\NIReport.llb and \vi.lib\addons\_office.

P.S. -- I'll try to attach a text file with the paths ...

Bob, Thanks for the quick response. Very much appreciated. Found the location and and will see if this enables me to load the VI.

Something is wrong (duh ...).  Some questions:

  • What version of LabVIEW are you running?  Tell us not only the Version, but whether 32- or 64-bit.
  • How are you accessing Excel?  Is it via the Report Generation Toolkit?  Something else?
  • Can you attach a small routine that demonstrates the problem?
  • You might have said this, but has this code worked previously, either on another computer or another version of LabVIEW?  If so, what changed?
  • A small demo of "code that fails" might be helpful.

I've got an appointment coming up, but I'll check back this evening.

It sounds like your teammate has an add-on installed in <user.lib> that you don't have. You should find out from your teammate where they got those VIs from. The NI Report Gen Toolkit has never installed to <user.lib>.

You nailed it. He needs to start the conversation with his team regarding the VI. You and Bob who also replied shouldn't spend anymore time with me on this. I'll let them start a conversation.
