Sorry I didn´t knew the name for that variable. The vi runs no problem, but I´ll do as you said and remove some to at least wire the originals.

Are you really aborting VIs?
Yes they are open when run, and aborted and closed with the stop bottom. So the operator never even sees it. They are just for the serial communication with the instruments, send and receive data, so I think there´s no need to cleanup.
