You installed LabVIEW NXG, the "Next Generation" version of LabVIEW that is currently under development. Many of us (myself, included) have little experience with this "Next Generation" software, and are not using it for Production work.
I see that you joined the LabVIEW Forum yesterday. Can I assume that you are very new to LabVIEW? If so, and if you want to do some real work with LabVIEW, taking advantage of Express VIs, the DAQ Assistant, Measurement I/O, DAQmx, etc. (which I know are part of "Traditional LabVIEW", but have no idea if they are in NXG), you might consider uninstalling NXG and installing LabVIEW, itself. If nothing else, you'll benefit from Developers with years of LabVIEW experience (NXG is only a year or two old, is still in development, so the "user experience" with it is significantly less ...).
