measurement and automation

I have measurement and automation 4.3 version.I cannot find devices and interfaces.
How will I get "Devices and Interfaces in measurement and automation window"?
I am new to labview . please explain clearly so that I can understand you.

what devices are in your system? What devices are you searching for?

When you open MAX, did you expand the "Devices and Interfaces" as shown in the image below?

If so, do you at least see the serial & parallel port (as shown)?

If so, are you looking for additional devices, such as USB or GPIB?  If so, did you intall their respective drivers?
