Hi,

I understand that your application is hanging. I am curious what data you are actually getting back before you see the hang. Also, I recommend taking a look at one of the example programs in the LabVIEW Example Finder. I found one for measuring the period with an E series card. Go to Help >> Find Examples >> Hardware Input and Output >> Traditional DAQ >> Counters >> DAQ-STC >> Measure Period (DAQ-STC).vi.

I have wired a constant 5 to the time limit and the measure period vi does time out. Problem sloved. Thank You.
