Hi Hazim,

this is a very generic question... You neither give information onthe motor type nor do you ask for specific help!

Usually you provide a voltage to let the motor turn Smiley Wink But www.MaxonMotor.de also provides electronic motor controls for their devices!

Hi yes you can control your motor using Labview. It depends which type of control you want. Simple ON/OFF if so then you can simply use serial(VISA) function to write to controller and make the decision. For PID you can use Control Design and Simulation Toolkit. Try to post some more detail of your problem.

Hi Hazim,

"i need sumone to programme for me..." - Well, then you should hire a LabView programmer and pay him for his work Smiley Wink And btw. you shouldn't mark your own question as solution!

Would reading the manuals for both devices help in coding this function? Usually you find all the commands needed in there...

Hello.
I need to do a program that controls 4 motors. 3 motors are connected via BNC and via cRIO.
I can control 3 motors via BNC through a VI in the My Computer tree.
The motor via cRIO I control in a VI of cRIO through SoftMotion. In this case I control speed, acceleration and engine position. Is there any way to get to the speed data, acceleration, position a VI Tree My Computer, in the same VI of the other three engines are via Daq?

Hi nanadutra,

yes, there is a way!

You need to communicate between the cRIO and your PC.

LabVIEW comes with ready-to-use example projects including ones explaining this type of communication! So the solution is to examine these example projects…
