I have an eval copy of Lab View. I need to know if I can develop a simple application that can communicate with an optical power meter with this copy. What are the drivers I would need and what are the hardware requirements.

With the Eval you shuld be able to write a working VI that will run for 10 minutes, and then the whole copy will time out after 30 days. You should be able to save this then take it over to a full copy of LabVIEW and run with no problems. You will need the hardware you are going to call to test it, and software drivers that you are going to call to.
