Hi I am using a NI 6008 as a counter. It has only up counting option. I have to make it count in reverse way also .I s there any way to do that?

no, the counter of the cheap USB600x is only counting up.

Anything else has to be programmed by you in pure LabVIEW…

Is there anyway to do it

I have got a proximity sensor and two other inputs ( gives voltage when the setup goes up and give another voltage when it comes down) . I have to conut up in one direction and down in another?

you need to do some signal analyzing afterwards!

When you have voltage1 you take the counts as "count up", when the voltage is at voltage2 level you take them for "count down". You have to program it…
