open daq assistant from front panel

Is there anyway to open the daq assistant from the front panal at run time.  I know you can convert the DAQ assistant and then open front panel using the functions in the application control palet, but I would perfer not to do that.

Hello BJP,

I am not entirely sure what you want to do.  When you have the DAQ Assistant on the block diagram of your VI, and you run that VI, you cannot open the DAQ Assistant while that VI is running.  You also cannot view the front panel of the DAQ Assistant while the VI is running.  If you want the front panel of a subVI to open while your VI is running, you can do that.  You can make your subVI perform the actions of the DAQ Assistant that you are interested in.  For example, if you are using the DAQ Assistant to do digital input, your subVI that opens up could perform that action.
