Once a VI has been converted (or written) in 6i it can't be read by Labview 5. I don't know if there's a tool to convert 6i to 5, but Labview 6i can read VIs made in 5.

Generally, you need somebody with LabVIEW 6 that can save your VIs as LabVIEW 5 VIs. However, because the VIs are for LabVIEW 6 Student Edition, it is possible that those VIs take advantage of new features in LabVIEW 6, so conversion may not be completely possible.

I don't know if it is possible to save LV 6 VIs as LV 5 VIs with LV 6 student version. You may want to check that. Chances are, somebody here will answer this shortly.

Get someone with LV6i to save the VI for LV5. Assuming the VIs do not
rely on LV6 specific features, then you should be able to open them in
your version.
