openning a 250 MB file into a U8 1D array

I am working on a program that views a data format that labview doesn't handle itself. So to decode the data I open the file with red text file, but I cannot open anything larger than a 2Mb file. When I do I get an out of memory error.

Any hints on how to view large files

Can you post a sample of the data and your vi. 2mb seems awfully low as a labview limit. How much memory does your computer have?? Do you need labview to hold the entire result in memory??
