oscilloscope vi

I would like to simulate an oscilloscope using a VI and wonder if there is an example VI available.

If you have a analog DAQ card there are a couple in the LabVIEW Examples that are present under Help, Find Examples. There are a lot of pretty good examples of most of the functions in LabVIEW there.
