Hi,

I wanted to let y'all know that this is not a bug but rather a (mostly) intended behavior.  Being able to paste an image as a block diagram background is the unintended behavior.  Wires are not properly part of the z-order list on the diagram.  Wires are special because they are quite often moved, redrawn, and rebuilt.  We would prefer if wires did not obscure any part of the diagram, especially nodes and subVIs.  A single wire on top of a node can make it almost impossible to actually click on the node and not the wire (as it has such wide selection radius).

If you are interested in a true feature of a background image on a block diagram, I can add it to our feature database.

Hi Prasad,

I wanted to let you know you would be better off creating a new post asking your full question. You can also link to this older forum post if you want to provide context. Since this thread is almost a decade old, you won't see nearly as much traffic here to help you.
