problem in installing labview, fpga and RT

Dear Labview programmers,

We are working in labview 7.1 and recently we bought labview 8, so for installing the version 8 what I did was removed labview, RT and FPGA. Then I load it afreshly in the sequence of Labview 8 PDS, Device Drivers CD 1 & 2, Labview RT, Labview FPGA and NI RIO 2.0.
After Installing these labview works fine but, my fpga and RT programs like .lep, .bld are unable to open and when I opened the labview, my compact rio 9002 is detected. Now i wanna program in fpga and RT for my compact rio. can any one help me how to install these softwares and why my .lep is in the way that i cant open it..

Shivkumar, hello.

After reading your post, your order of installation of LabVIEW 8.0 is not correct. First of all you want to install LabVIEW PDS, then LabVIEW Modules (FPGA and Real-Time), then the device drivers.

After installing in that order, you will still not be able to access the .lep files because of the new structure in LabVIEW 8.0. It introduces a Project window for everything including non-FPGA/RT applications. You will have to convert your FPGA application from LabVIEW 7.1 to LabVIEW 8.0.

In order to do so, take a look at this link.

In order to get you properly set up, you will have to install the software in the correct order, then follow the instructions in the link that help you upgrade your FPGA application to version 8.0
