problem with .xctl and opening .llb- compatibility issue??

 1           i have opened an application (written in labview 8.2) in labview 8.5.
              i made some changes in the application and saved it in labview8.5.


 2           but i when i made an exe, some .xctl doesn't work.

 3           so i opened the application in labview8.2 again. now i see a message that create ramp.vi is not found. (this vi is in intpxmpl.llb and differ in size in both8.2 and 8.5)


how can i fix this problem??? please help me in resolving this ..many thanks in advance

Hi Renn,

have you tried to replace/relink the VI? What happens when you do this?
I couldnt find any useful information of the behaivour you are describing. Maybe something became corrupt.
Do you still have you original project. If you open it in 8.5, save it again and reopen it 8.2, do you see the same errors?

thanks for your reply. the proj was originally written in 8.2,
but when i opened and modified it in 8.5, i made changes to 'create ramp vi'.
then again i had to run that proj on another sys with labview 8.2. so i need to modify it for 8.2.
when i opened in 8.2, i found that create ramp vi was not found..

i have saved 'create ramp vi' for previous version(8.2) from 8.5 and the probelm is solved.
