project explorer not responding in "Files View"

Hello,

I am using LabVIEW 8.5. I find the project explorer stops responding when I view the "Files" tab and try to expand the file list. It takes about 10 minutes to recover and seems to respond to user action afterward.

During the non-responding period, the computer is CPU usage is low (a few percent). I am using Windows XP SP2.

I would really appreciate if you could give suggestions of what I can do to tune my system to avoid this delay?

Hi Jian,

 

It sounds like the project is looking for files.  Have you moved any of the source files in your project?  Does this happen on all of your projects, or just one?
