I would call your NI sales guy or a customer service person because I know they ship a free CD which has tools to upgrade LV 2 VI's to LV 4 VI's. Then the LabVIEW 4 VI's should have no problem opening in 5.x.

Sorry I don't remember the name of the part or anything but I know it exists.
