read force from chatillon

hi everybody

I am using chatillon/ dfs to measure force ( tension),  I have succeeded to conect with device and get data

I used n, x, X commands to read force and distance as I read in device manual

the problem is when I use n command , it give me two readings of distance then force like that :-

o.5 in

0.6 in

  0.3 lb

sometime give me 3 readings of distance and then force like that:-

o.5 in

0.6 in

0.7 in

 0.3 lb

sometime the data is cut in the middle

that mean n command did not give me organize readings , I can not using it to get max , min data

when I used X command to get only force readings,  there was delay , I get 18 reading per second while n command give me more than 40 reading per second that what I need

is there any one have experiance to work with this device or have information about chatillon commands

thanks

Hello suhad,

We do not have any drivers that support chatillon but you should be able to use VISA commands to do basic opperations. Here is a similar question: http://forums.ni.com/t5/Instrument-Control-GPIB-Serial/how-can-use-chatillon/m-p/1561700?requireLogi... 🙂
