read soundcard output???

hello,

is it possible to read data from the output of a soundcard (in labview)? I
would like to build a spectrum analyzer that monitors the soundcard's
output. any ideas?

The only way that I know to do this is to actually take the output of
the card and route it into a data acquisition card, specifically a sound
and vibration card. You can then use the standard VIs is LabVIEW to
get and display the sound card output, as well as the frequency content.

Look at the earlier thread called Labview and soundcards.
