reinstall DAQmx

Solved!

I have reinstalled LabVIEW 2011 (32 bit) onto my laptop and upon looking at the previously installed DAQ utilities I found that they were no longer seen from LabVIEW, and I guess that is because I had to uninstall LABVIEW and then reinstall it. It appears that the DAQ utilities were wiped out during the uninstall so I went and downloaded the NIDAQ950f2 install file from the download site and tried to reinstall DAQ. Upon running the setup exe file I get a large pop up menu showing a list of 13 ( maybe 14 - there is no scrollbar) items for Developer Error:  The following errors were found in your ini file: "Specified file not found: [Files] License2TextFile0007=C:\National Instruments\Downloads\NI-DAQmx\NIDAQ950f2\LicenseAgreements\NI Released License Agreement - German.rtf''. There were a bunch of these similar files for a lot other languages, but none for the english language!  As matter of fact the first 7 files in the list were replicates of the last group of files. And again there are no english versions listed. There was an older version of the DAQ installer, the 9.2.3 full version, and it did the same thing. I have another tool, the LabVIEW VI Analyzer Toolkit that I also downloaded from NI and tried to install that tool and the installation worked just fine. Any help on this matter is appreciated.

The issue is most likely a result of the installation (or in this case reinstallation) order.  When installing NI products it is important to maintain a certain order of installation to ensure that all files are properly installed and associated to one another.  This Knowledge Base article explains in more detail and outlines the suggested order:

Unfortunately, I would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling both LabVIEW and the drivers, as there was probably some corruption during installation and this is likely the quickest way to fix it.
