remote admin vs LabView

Hello, All!

I am using my LabView 6.1 application on remote PC (Win2k Pro) controlled by
Remote Admin software via LAN.
Main PC with application running is not accesable and only one way to
control the LabView panel is the notebook connected via LAN interface.

It works perfect with one exception: I can not see the context menus when I
right-ckicking on remote screen.

Is it a problem with Remote Admin software or this problem could be
connected to LV itself?
Is it possible to arrange a full-functional remote control panel from LV
environment without second party software like Remote Admin?

Hi Sergey

LabVIEW 6.1 introduces remote front panels, that allow users to view and control the VI front panels remotely from LabVIEW or from a web browser without any programming. Remote panel clients will see "live" updates to the VI front panel and can control it. Have a look into the LV Help. Search for "remote front panels" in the index tab and look into the LV user manual (page 17-10) for more informations.
This link explains the way to use remote front panel with applications:

I hope this helps

I've been using pcAnywhere with very good results to support programs half way across the world. Piece of cake with both computers with Internet connections. Dial-up works too, but verrrry slowly. I've known people to use VNC to accomplish the same thing.

I'va tryed PcAnywhere also. It works perfect, all context menu and cursor
shapes are correct, but PcAnywhere works dramatically slower then Remote
Admin.

Hi Sergey,

I used Windows NetMeeting to do the same thing. It's good enough even on dial-up connections and it's free.

Good Luck
