remote control and data logging

Hello,
Somebody can help me? Smiley Sad
Measuring computer measures data from data acquisition card continuously. Measured data are saved to .txt file and moreover they are transmitting to Data server over Ethernet. Remote computers should be able to access to this server (Duplex) data though LAN during measurement.

for details see attached file

Are you looking for someone to develop an application for you? I am sure there are hundreds out there looking for work.

If you just want help with how to get started, then follow the excellent turtorials and examples bundled with LabVIEW.

Is this a class assignment or a work assignment?

If it is a work assignment, I have to wonder how someone who is obviously inexperienced

gets assigned a project such as this by a manager who should know about the capabilities of his/her

engineers.

nyc, you are right.

My company has spent several month to program the so-called "Online-System" that might be a match to the requirements mentioned in Stefo's document. But the system is complex and hundreds of decisions were made when developing the system. Even if we provided a "source code license": I am sure that a lot of follow-up via telephone and eMail will be the next step.

Hello Stefo. If you are interested in details of the Online-System, please let me know. My company's homepage regrettably only comes with little information (= an introduction).

BR to all of you. - And have a great day.

Don't understand me wrong please! I don't looking for already developed software. I need some footing for beginning. I’m thinking that I find it in manual just now. Again Smiley Tongue But what I'm looking is maybe some advice, or simple example. I want to improve my self, no take already developed solution.

best regards,

I didn't want to cause offence to you Smiley Surprised

Here are a few suggestions to help you get the best from the forum..... others may have different views of course!

For best responses on the board, keep questions as simple as possible, provide examples of what you have tried to do yourself and document the example with what you think is happening or want to happen (not fill in my project here!!!).

Use examples from the provided library / example software as the basis of any questions you have. In nearly all cases there are examples that cover what you will need. Try searching the forum first.. (I know it takes a while to learn the correct 'key words'), but it pays dividends.. try testing the search engine for things you have learnt to compare what you find with what you used to search with.

'Divide and conquer' should be your motto on the project or 'many small steps in the right direction make a successful project'.

Don't forget that most people contributing to the forum don't get paid; well in anything other than those shiny little stars at the bottom of the page..

Good luck

Maybe it's just me, but what you asking for in this post is something that I would not do for free unless I was being paid as a consultant. You already have the simple outline of what is required.

This is an engineering project. The solution it isn't something that you can find in a manual. If only things were that simple.
