renaming visa resource names

Folks, for some strange reason my visa resource names were changed.  I suspect that I had TEKVISA loaded on start-up and it somehow changed my resource names by accident.  Regardless, I attempted to fix them using the MAX utility, but it does absolutely nothing.  I even tried resetting my resources which really screwed things up.  So now when I try to select a previously named resource for my VISA command, it is not there.  What is the name of the file that Labview 8.0 uses? where is it located? Last, how can I fix this and prevent it from happening again?

NI-VISA uses the file called visaconf.ini and in current versions, it is in Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\national Instruments\NIvisa.

After making a backup, you can try deleting this file and after restarting MAX, do a Refresh. Not ever having multiple versions of VISA installed, I'm not sure if this will work or how to prevent a corruption from recurring.
