i am a final year student at the queens university of belfast and am currently undergoing a project on the analysis of knock in an ic engine. we have used various components of yours in our experiment ,a dn have now got the pressure trace from the engine.
we are now undergoing the analysis of this pressure trace and more importantly the knock trace.
we have used matlab, to filter the signal, so that we simply have the knock signal, but i am not too sure how exactly to analyse the signal.
i know that the rise time is one method, but am unsure what this means. there are other methods to analyise the signal and they give data , which we can compare between different knock traces.
i was wondering if you could tell me , wh
at these other methods are and also what their significance is.
