run Labview without toolkits - Practice for CLD

I was wondering if there is a key combination or way to start labview without any toolkits. Only load the core components. I wish to practice for the CLD and understand only the core vi's will be loaded on the grader's computer.

You shouldn't have to use any toolkits for the CLD.  What toolkits are you thinking about using?

I don't want to use any. I want to simulate a CLD environment. I want to start LabVIEW without any toolkits.

As long as you don't plan to use any toolkit, you don't have to worry about that.  On another note, if you contact your local NI app engineer, he/she maybe able to come over to your company and proctor the exam for you.  The NI app engineer will usually let you use your own computer as well (as long as you don't use any existing subroutines and templates)

I understand. I don't plan to. I just want to practice so that the only functions that appear are of the labview core.

Jyang is right.

There is no need for you to worry about simulating a CLD environment. Just go ahead with your practice. You won't be needing/using anything other than the basics. Good luck!

If you are really concerned use the License Manager and de-activate the tool-kitsSmiley Wink

If the toolkits are deactivated from the license manager, wouldn't LabVIEW still try to start the toolkits in evaluation mode?

If you deactivate the toolkits, when you reopen LabVIEW it will let you know things have changed. If you launch LabVIEW anyway, the functions will not display nor be available for your use. After you reactivate, you must restart LabVIEW and then you will have access to them again.

Hope this helps!
