run time engine

i have install the lab view 8.0 into my pc...when i try to open the labview file which i were transfer from operating cpu, i could not open the file to do editing / modification on the program...the error message came out was "Unable to locate the labview run time engine.The file requires version 6.1(compatible)Labview Run Time Engine". when i check the contains in the software i found the Run Time Engine Version is 7.1.1. im confuse ....please help me out to solve this problem....thanks..

Hi rock,

it seems you want to open/run an application built by LabVIEW6.1. To do so you NEED the LV61-runtime engine. You can find this at the NI website:
