May be this vi helps, search in text can be done by selecting the type as string.
Here is the attachment. Is this the one you want?

Ya you told in the last post, i forgot that.
As we discussed, try using ActiveX.
Can you post your vi? How you are retrieving from file?

Hi Alan,
Please find attached code, to access excel using ActiveX. Open Trial1.vi. (for Example)
You can read data search string (As explained in one of the post, to use for loop n all). If you find then stop loop, else change sheet number and continue search.
