Hi,
I have come across the NI 9795 and it seems like the perfect solution I was looking for. I am wanting to log data from a vehicle while the vehicle is in use and have it be sent to my computer for example. The other module I will be using is a NI 9853 with FPGA. I know the gateway module must be used in scan mode. I have read about using the cRIO in hybrid mode but I wanted to ask if what I am wanting to do is possible with the NI 9795. Also, are the measurement/ end nodes needed if I am only wanting data from the vehicle? Thank you.

Hi,
the 9795 is a WSN gateway for the cRIO platform and can only be used to communicate with the WSN nodes by using ZigBee. If I understand you correctly you want to stream data from the integrated cRIO in your vehicle to a computer elsewhere? How many meters do you have between the vehicle and your computer. I would assume to adapt wireless LAN by using standard hardware to your cRIO ethernet port and communicate with TCP/UDP, network streams or any other communication strategy you want with your PC.
