I'm not sure you can do that. Try drawing colored text in a picture indicator.

Yes, using the property node is the only way I have found too but is is a pain.  There is no easy way to make a bunch of constants like this without the cumbersome programming.  I have always hopes that NI would add a new string mode, one that had string markups like html where you could easily make a string with formatting but so far this has not happened.  I have in the past embedded a browser to accomplish this but it is not as elegant as a native solution.  It is still on my labview wishlist.

You could answer your own wish by creating an X-Control that parses the data and formats the text as indicated.
