Hi Otman,

I don't know of a "small" run-time engine, but if your users have Internet connections (of reasonable speed), you could include a link to the NI website where they can download the runtime engine before using your EXE.  You could also mention in the e-mail that this step only needs to be performed once (if the users will be receiving multiple EXEs from you).  I think the link you'd want to provide is https://download.ni.com/support/labview/windows/runtime/8.0/LVRunTimeEng.exe .  There's actually two executables in that folder, I'm not sure what the difference between them is (other than their size).

Hope this helps,

-D

The web portal to the LabVIEW 8.0 runtime engines has details on the difference between the two versions:

QUOTE: There are two downloads that are available. You only need to install one of them. LVRunTimeEng.exe is a smaller download intended when viewing Remote Front Panels in Web pages. It does not contain the full run-time engine, but will allow some executables to run. For full support for executables use the LabVIEW_8.0_Runtime_Engine.exe. This version will support all executables built with LabVIEW as well as allow viewing of Remote Front Panels in web browsers
