software trigger aquire x amount of samples

Hey all

Im looking to make a software trigger b/c my hardware trigger has a single multiplicity, so i turned off the trigger such that data constantly flows out of the DAQmx read as an array. I have made my own trigger by using compare to (value), basically when the compare returns true i want to aquire the next thousand signals into an array, i have no idea how i could set that up, anyone know?

Post your example VI so we can have a look. LabVIEW developers on this forum are more likely to help if you they get to see some sort of implementation of the issue you are describing.
