spartan 3e & Labview 2011

Hi BradM,

the Spartan3 target dosen't show up in the situation from the attached pictures.

I forgot to meantion that I do not have the board atached to the PC, but I was still expecting to see the target option to create  projects. Untill I will recevie the one I have ordered I can't check what happens whith the board attached to PC.

Hey Andrei,

You should be able to find it (even without one attached) by creating a new empty project. From there, right-click on the "My Computer" option, and select new->Targets and Devices. From there, hit the radio button for New target or device and browse down to the Xilinx University Program folder to find the Spartan-3e Starter Board. I've attached a picture below to complement these instructions. I don't remember if we could add the board through the new project wizard in previous versions, but this should definitely work for you.

My board arrived and even if it is attached to PC it dosent help.

I have reinstall all my software a couple of times but with no luck

There is anything I am missing?

Can you please walk us through what exactly you are doing?

1) Install LV 2011sp1 + FPGA 2011sp1 + Spartan 2011sp1

2) Connect hardware to computer

3) Launch LV

4) <Pickup here>...

Also a quick check would be to see whether or not, when plugged in and powered, if the board shows up under Device Manager as a Programming Cable

Also, if you want to thank T-REX, there is that little "Kudos" button next to his post...

i can't upgrade lv2011 to sp1 so i can't see my sp 3e on national instruments they replace it with lv2012

Hi fouadramy,

I am not sure what you are asking, could you clarify? 

If I understand, you are attempting to update LabVIEW 2011 to LabVIEW 2011 SP1, correct?  And because you cannot upgrade you cannot see your FPGA? Is this correct?
