statediagram toolkit portability

I have the new LV state diagram toolkit. I am trying to move files from my laptop development system to my PXI embedded controller.

I have designed a state diagram using the toolkit on my laptop. When I copy the VI file to the PXI embedded controller and start debugging it on equipment, I can no longer open the state diagram editor.

Is this normal or am I doing something that I shouldnt be?

Hi id,

There is no problem moving a VI that includes a State Diagram between multiple LabVIEW development machines unless they don't have the State Diagram Toolkit installed. In case that you move a VI including a state machine created with the State Diagram Toolkit to a machine without the toolkit installed, you will still have a fully functional state machine, but it will not be possible to edit the diagram.

Do you have the toolkit installed on both machines?
