Solved!

hi!!

i have ordered NI 6008 DAQ, now my question is that, do i need external supply voltage for my hall sensor or the hall sensor gets the power from the DAQ itself?

Do you have any further details about your hall sensor?

The USB-6008 does have a +5V output (driven from the usb) which can supply up to 200mA.

From the datasheet, page 4 shows supply voltage as 5V, supply current as 5.6mA

So yes, you should be able to connect it directly.

+5V - pin 31 --> +Vcc

GND - pin 32 --> GND

Vout goes to one of the Digital Inputs pins.

Sorry, yes you are right. It should go to an analog input, not digital.
