thanks Labview

Thanks Labview,

Be careful with your video card, if you don't have latest video driver
installed LabView might encounter bugs, which they are FATAL !!!
just have lost my project, (I have never thought that a prog that
could control a nuclear plant could also encounter troubles, that
might be dangerous...)
just a right-click on a boolean ref.
Next time, I will do multiple savings, well done for me!!

Mesca

PS:
remember, just a right-click could make your project unreadable.

the controllers of the nuke plant would probably be smart enough to have a backup...

It is a poor craftsman that blames his tools.
Maybe landscaping is more your field

I sure hope that you wrote a similar note to the video card manufacturer. How can you possibly even remotely blame LabVIEW for problems caused by a faulty video driver?

On a similar note, NI tech support might be able to salvage that "unreadable" project. Give it a try.

backup or no, you could imagine consequences of a bug in a running
plant...:-)

just have a look to www.ni.com/failure, that was not a blame,
Perhaps I've not been understood by using unreadable term; sorry, (
I'm not english 🙂 , I got an error such: 'load.cpp line
4081'...LabView couldn't start opening project...that's all 🙂

What are you talking about? I just tried to duplicate this error on LV6.1 on XP and LV6.0 for Linux. No problems here. Could you be more specific with what happened? What boolean did you use? What video driver and what hardware? What OS?

Mesca, you haven't given us squat. How the heck are we supposed to help you?

Oh yeah, if you have beef with LV go to the top of a tall building and scream about it there, not in this group 😛

Mesca,
I've seen this error load.cpp, line 4081 with VIs created with LabVIEW Student edition or LabVIEW 6i Evaluation, or with VIs that have very large number of tabs on their front panels.
If you would like us to try to recover your project, we would need to know more about it. What version it was first built in, what is on its front panel, what OS you have.
Here is another post that may offer more help.
Is there a fix yet for error load.cpp line 4081?
