the output of AI Acquire Waveform is in volts or mV

I have a feeling that the output of my AI Acquire Waveform is in volt if it is greater than 1V and mV if it is less than 1V. Is such a thing possible in labVIEW 6.0?

I would attach known voltages, less than and greater than 1 V, and see what happened.

I will be away from the lab for sometime so I cannot test. Should it be either V or mV. Can it be both?

Even if input is in order of millivolts, AI acquire waveform will always scan and presents a channel's input in Volts ( as 0.xxx Volts)
