There were really confusing and even, ridiculous problems when I configuring the NI-VISA to recognize a third party hardware, well, the god damned reflective memory card VMIPCI-5565 of VMIC(GE).
However, it's confusing that the driver couldn't work after the installation. I tried in the operate system of Windows 2000 and Windows XP, and Labview 7.1 and Labview 8.0, but all failed! The card couldn,t be detected, not to metion the basic communication!
So I turned to s configuring VISA to recognize the card, and with the instruction of NI's homepage "Configuring LabVIEW Real-Time and NI-VISA to Recognize a Third Party Device ", I configured NI-VISA of my computer but left the item of "Generate Interrupt" unchecked(because I just want it be recgnized even not any events related to the interrupt).
And then, I changed my computer(Windows XP) to one with Windows2000 operate system taday. The results was, after series of process of installation and configuration, the card never disappeared.
And then again, I change to the third computer with the former Windows XP operate system. And , oh God! I found that : the card didn't appear either!
Ops! Facing to these desperately depressing situation, it's really confusing for me now. Why?
