threshold area measure

i would like know how can i calculate  the area of some object with the threshold.

I'm using labview 2011 with development vision....and i'm trying calculate area with Threshold function...

There's an example here.

with the point tool you click on the image and the software gives us the value of the area, but when I activate the threshold and I click on the image it selects the entire region of the image providing information of total area.

How could I calculate the area of the selected part?
