I think so, but the application will have a watermark on the front panel indicating it is an evaluation version.

I actually don't think building binaries is allowed on a trial version, but don't have one to test with. If it is allowed I too would expect watermarks.

According to the knowledge base you should have access to application builder but it will have a watermark as RavensFan said.

To be fair what I might have been remembering is the inability to create an RTEXE when the RT toolkit is a trial.

I can imagine that a Trial Version might not let you build an application. A Watermark refers to a way of "transparently" marking something (originally fine stationary -- hold it up to the light and it reveals the name of the Stationary Company) (in the present case, the Screen Images may show a light-gray overlay that says "LabVIEW Evaluation Version" or something like that).

Here is one image with an example of a Home or Student watermark which will appear on the front panel of every VI.

For a trial the text will be different. Functionally it should be the same and so if it doesn't connect to your PLC, upgrading to a full license won't effect that.
